SkoolNext ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of schools, students, teachers, and parents who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data.
Data We Collect
- School Information: School name, address, phone, email, logo, affiliation details provided during registration.
- Student Data: Name, admission number, class, section, parent contact details, attendance records, fee payment history, and academic results.
- Staff Data: Teacher and staff names, contact information, attendance, and payroll details.
- Payment Data: Fee transaction records, payment methods, and receipt details. We do NOT store credit card or UPI credentials.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage patterns for security and analytics.
How We Use Data
- To provide and maintain our school management platform.
- To generate attendance reports, fee receipts, exam results, and analytics.
- To send automated notifications (WhatsApp, SMS, email) as configured by the school.
- To improve our platform based on usage patterns.
- To comply with legal obligations under Indian law.
Data Storage & Security
✅ Data stored in India: All school and student data is stored on servers located in India, compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.
✅ Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
✅ Access Control: Role-based access ensures only authorized school staff can view student data.
✅ Backups: Automated backups every 6 hours with 30-day retention.
✅ No Third-Party Data Sharing: We never sell, rent, or share your school data with third parties for marketing or advertising.
Data Ownership & Access
✅ You own your data: Schools retain full ownership of all data uploaded to SkoolNext.
✅ Data Export: You can request a full export of your school data at any time via WhatsApp or email.
✅ Access Requests: Parents and students can request access to their data through their school administrator.
Data Retention & Deletion
✅ Active Accounts: Data is retained as long as your school account is active.
✅ Account Termination: Upon termination, we retain data for 90 days for export. After 90 days, all data is permanently deleted.
✅ Deletion Requests: Schools can request immediate data deletion by contacting us.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies on school dashboards.
